Welcome to the web site of The Flashbacks, a 50's, 60's and Beach Music band from Easley, South Carolina. This group of nine professionals from the upstate who specializes in playing 50's, 60's and Beach Music. The group’s unique and versatile musical style covers Rock ‘N’ Roll…Beach and Soul. Their range includes Motown, shaggin’ beach classics and female vocal artists from the wonderful 60’s. Music in The Flashbacks playlist includes such artists as The Diamonds, The Tams, Aretha, The Drifters, Barbara Lewis, Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Temptations.
Members of The Flashbacks have opened for artists such as The Fantastic Shakers, Chairmen Of The Board, The Mighty Tams, featuring the Legendary "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy," Joe Pope, and the dynamic "Little Anthony" and The Imperials. The Flashbacks are a versatile group of musicians that prides itself on playing music that is enjoyed by all ages. Their first CD is titled "Rock 'N' Roll....Beach and Soul."Rock 'N' Roll, Beach and Soul".
The title of their second CD is "Weekend Getaway" and is being distributed by Ripete Records on the Carlen Records label. Shakin', our third CD was released on Ripete Records. Click on the menu to the left for more details. The CD entered the Rhythm 'n' Beach Top 20 as of July 14, 2001. The cut "Steamboat" stayed on the Rhythm 'n' Beach Top 40 for 28 weeks.
"Havin' A Good Time", our fourth project was released on Ripete Records. This release is different than any previous project The Flashbacks have done. It includes more love songs than has been targeted in the past. Wendy Goodson, lead female vocalist is spotlighted on several cuts. One particular song that she did is an original ballad written by Clifford Curry entitled "Be Serious". The Flashbacks are very excited about this project. Click here for additional information.
Wendy Goodson "In The Spotlight" is the latest release from The Flashbacks and is being distributed on the record label One20inc. This new CD features Wendy's vocals on all the tracks. The Flashbacks are back in the studio once again working on another project that is scheduled to be delivered in the Spring of 2008. The title of the forthcoming CD is "Beach Nights...Filled With Blues and Soul". The project is progressing nicely and is about 95% complete. A single titled "A Love To Call Mine" from the project was released for the Spring Safari SOS week 2007. The song entered the Beach Music Top 40 at number 19 October 6th. More coming very soon!
